Who provides the service?

QuitCompass: Stop Smoking is an iOS and Android app provided by Melihcan Günbay (Bariton). This policy covers the app and this website. For privacy questions, email support@bariton.dev.

Information kept on your device

The app keeps your reported smoking pace, starting point and goal, plan, earlier periods, entered prices, trigger responses, and preferences on your device. It does not require an account. Bariton does not send these records to its server; the app has no ads, analytics, or tracking SDK.

Backup and reminders

If you choose to export a backup, the app encrypts a file with your password and saves it where you select. There is no automatic sync. Bariton cannot recover the backup password. Reminders are scheduled locally if you grant permission. Your operating system's own backup services may have separate settings.

Purchases and external links

Apple App Store or Google Play processes Pro purchases. The app does not receive payment-card details; it may use store transaction information and verification proof on your device to check Pro access. Purchase entitlement is not included in the encrypted backup and can be restored only through the store account used to buy it. Opening a health-resource link takes you to a third-party site.

Website and support

This website does not use ads or marketing analytics. Your language preference may be stored in your browser. The hosting provider may process standard technical logs such as IP address, request time, and error details to operate and secure the site. If you email support, your address and message are used to respond. Please do not include sensitive health details or backup passwords.

Retention and deletion

On-device app data remains until you uninstall the app. You must separately delete exported backup files from the locations you chose. Operating-system backups and store purchase records are controlled by their providers. You can request access to or deletion of support emails at support@bariton.dev.

Changes

If data practices change, this policy and its last-updated date will be revised.
